چکیده

In recent years, several games have presented non-linear gameplay systems; they are also known as sandbox games. Players are offered big, open, full of life worlds where they have a high degree of freedom to choose what they want to do to progress through the game. Multi-agent systems can help providing game designers with the means to achieve their creative visions and build more complex environments.

Utilizing Generalized Learning Automata for Finding Optimal Policies in MMDPs

Multi agent Markov decision processes (MMDPs), as the generalization of Markov decision processes to the multi agent case, have long been used for modeling multi agent system and are used as a suitable framework for Multi agent Reinforcement Learning. In this paper, a generalized learning automata based algorithm for finding optimal policies in MMDP is proposed. In the proposed algorithm, MMDP ...

Exploratory Play in Simulation Sandbox Games: A Review of What We Know About Why Players Act Crazy

There is a kind of seemingly nonsensical play behavior found in the simulation sandbox game genre. This behavior is very spontaneous and impulsive and associated with self-initiated learning, and here the author seeks to better understand what it is, and why it seems associated with simulation sandbox games. That is: What purpose does it serve, and what might provoke it? This requires a review ...

Solving matrix games with hesitant fuzzy pay-offs

The objective of this paper is to develop matrix games with pay-offs of triangular hesitant fuzzy elements (THFEs). To solve such games, a new methodology has been derived based on the notion of weighted average operator and score function of THFEs. Firstly, we formulate two non-linear programming problems with THFEs. Then applying the score function of THFEs, we transform these two problems in...

Agent-Based Participatory Simulations: Merging Multi-Agent Systems and Role-Playing Games

In 2001, Olivier Barreteau proposed to jointly use multi-agent systems and role-playing games for purposes of research, training and negotiation support in the field of renewable resource management. This joint use was later labeled the "MAS/RPG methodology" and this approach is one of the foundation stones of the ComMod movement. In this article, we present an alternative method called "agent-...

Adaptive Neural Network Method for Consensus Tracking of High-Order Mimo Nonlinear Multi-Agent Systems

This paper is concerned with the consensus tracking problem of high order MIMO nonlinear multi-agent systems. The agents must follow a leader node in presence of unknown dynamics and uncertain external disturbances. The communication network topology of agents is assumed to be a fixed undirected graph. A distributed adaptive control method is proposed to solve the consensus problem utilizing re...
